Preparing a strong case: a checklist for agents

Published: 2 November 2026

Before you submit a candidate

  • A clear scan of every passport page; passport valid for at least 1.5 years
  • A CV with real dates, employers and duties — no gaps left unexplained
  • The candidate's preferred destination and role, and one alternative
  • Contact details that the candidate actually answers: WhatsApp number and email

Mistakes that cost weeks

  • Blurry or cropped scans that the employer rejects
  • Names spelled differently in the passport, CV and forms
  • Promising a timeline before the employer confirms the vacancy
  • Police clearance or certificates ordered too late
