A job offer is the start of a long process: permit, visa, travel and a new home. A few questions now prevent surprises later.
About the job
- Who exactly is the employer, and in which city is the workplace?
- What are the hours, shifts and overtime rules?
- What is the gross pay, and roughly what is left after tax?
- How long is the contract, and is there a trial period?
About living there
- Is housing provided, and what does it cost?
- How do people get to work for early or night shifts?
- Who helps with registration and a bank account after arrival?
About the process
- Which documents do I need, and who prepares the employer documents?
- How long does each step take in this country?
- What do I pay, to whom and when, and what is not included?
- What happens if the visa is refused?

A spoken promise is hard to check later. Ask for the main terms in your contract or in a message, and keep them. Start with a free eligibility check if you are not sure which countries fit your passport.
